Darkside was built by snowboarders, and our team has always been a reflection of the community that’s grown around the shop over the last few decades.
But the reality is that people move. Especially out of New England. At some point, a lot of East Coast riders pack their bags and head West. We’ve watched plenty of our crew do it over the years, and we get it.
Whether we like it or not, you have to put yourself where the scene is if you want to make it in this unique little world we call the snowboard industry.
Some people leave and move on. Never to be heard from again. Others find a way to keep one foot back home.
Connor Cavanagh has always been the latter.
While he spends most of his winter in Utah these days, Vermont is still a big part of who he is. He stays in touch, always comes in the store, links with the crew whenever he’s back, and has never really let the distance change his connection to Darkside.
He’s grown into one of the best modern riders to come out of the East Coast, and if you’ve been paying attention, you know he’s just getting started.
So when Connor hit us up about premiering a new project he worked on last winter with Turbo, LJ Henriquez and a heavy crew of rippers, there was no question we were down.
URGENCY will be playing at the DS4L premiere on October 10 at the Killington shop, alongside Guten Tag and Test Run.

We just previewed a rough cut of URGENCY and it is a certified banger. Rumor has it Connor might have some clips in our video too? You’ll just have to pull up and find out.
